Real Estate

We represent buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions and smaller commercial property transactions.

Physician Contract Reviews

For decades, we have been known for our representation of physicians. We provide a review of physician contracts and analyze the "traps," including the anomalies in the insurance laws of Pennsylvania. Common issues that arise involve tail coverage, nose coverage, insurance, exclusivity, restrictive covenants and termination. We also offer assistance and guidance to the physician in handling the negotiations of the employment contract.

Tom Burke, Jr. has given several presentations to physicians regarding careful review of contracts. Having several immediate family members as doctors has given him the inside track on matters important to physicians.

Referrals

Although Haws & Burke is not actively involved in trying negligence cases, its president, Tom Burke, Jr. was an active and accomplished personal injury trial attorney both for plaintiffs and defendants.

Though Tom relinquished his negligence trial practice many years ago to focus on other areas of the law, he remains sought after by clients for his analysis and help in selecting a capable and trustworthy attorney to handle their case.
